About NAMe
Nurse Anesthesia of Maine (NAMe) was founded in 2003 by nine CRNAs who wanted to provide the community access to excellent full-service nurse anesthesia services. Initially, NAMe covered only Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, but rapidly expanded to other locations as our commitment to uncompromising quality was recognized by others. We have grown to a group of over 40 CRNAs covering 12 hospitals and clinics with routine services and another six locations with relief coverage. We provide these services while maintaining our core values of:

NAMe strongly encourages and supports involvement with our state (MeANA) and national (AANA) organizations. A number of us are state board members or have served or are serving on national committees.
Community Involvement
NAMe’s philanthropic committee helps the company with local giving and staying involved in the community by sponsoring several area events in which our CRNA’s regularly participate. We also participate in several community events every year. Don’t be surprised if you see our logo on local t-shirts and banners. MeANA has recognized us for NAMe’s contributions at the state level. The Maine Hospital Association has recognized two CRNAs at MeANA’s request for their work on behalf of all the CRNAs in the State of Maine.
