FOUR SEASONS IN MAINE

Enjoy four seasons in Maine:

  • As Maine thaws from winter, you’ll soon notice the many sights and sounds of Spring. After the locally-harvested maple syrup is poured, the local flora blooms and the birds become more active. The air is filled with sweet scents and lovely chirping, signaling the coming of warmer days.
  • Summer nights in Maine are easy to fill and hard to forget. Sit around a campfire at several local camping areas, enjoy the warm nights with friends, or take a dip or a paddle in any one of our local lakes or ponds. Hiking trails are never in short supply in Bangor. There are also plenty of beaches within 30 minutes of Bangor where you can bask in the sun all day.
  • Autumn is perhaps Maine’s most beautiful yet fleeting season. Many people visit our area to see the leaves change from green to orange, red, and yellow. For those who live here, fall is a wonderful time of the year when you can visit any number of local orchards to pick apples and pumpkins and enjoy fresh apple cider. For views you’ll never forget, take a hike anywhere in Maine to find the perfect vantage point.
  • Life continues uninterrupted in the Winter. Mainers and visitors alike take advantage of the incredible variety of activities available once the snowfalls. Finish work and be on the slopes of Hermon Mountain in about 30 minutes, or snowshoeing the Bangor City Forest in about 10! Temperatures average 0-30 degrees Fahrenheit, but with the proper gear, you’ll stay warm and dry!
